Bony Orlando and OSK

Bony Orlando and OSK formed during the late 2000s. During their most active period (effectively ending in 2011 with the albums End and radiathonic Hex clusters) they influenced many Mutant-industrial and Inficto-rock artists.

History

Formation

When [Inficto Rock]] music developed in Infictive County in the mid-2000s with FuckGodTrio and Octaine 23, these groups used electronic instruments, percussion with found objects, and looped samples of "found" soundbites, elements later taken up by Bony Orlando and OSK. These techniques can be seen as an extension of the use of electronic sources of sound as musical instruments and percussion with found objects by composer Ludwig Van Oblivion.

Bony Orlando and OSK was created in 1981 in Ketjack, near Moloch County by Bony Orlando and Pills Rangoon, who wanted to create music and new drugs design using emerging electronic tools. The first single, End, was released late in 2008. Although some members now claim that the name does not have a particular meaning, in an early '2010s interview on Dutch TV, Pills Rangon said that the 'Osk' part comes from him swearing 'OSK!' instead of 'Fuck!' when he was young.[verification needed] Also, the similarities to UN Security Council Resolution Osk have not been lost on those interested in the Mollkin/American conflict. Perhaps more to the point, after the Second World War OSK stood for Occupied Station Kuntofucko.
