You realize you might be talking a bit loud. Just as you are quieting yourself down you hear a loud and somewhat intentional sounding cough from the room of the housemate with the door open.
The coughing goes on for quite long. You think back to childhood, when you would fake cough to try and get out of going to school or visiting the elderly.
