You ignore the looks and keep studying

One thing's for sure. If you're going to become a powerful magician, you're going to have to get used to people giving you weird looks. In a way this is like your first lesson. You keep reading something. Lots of scribbles in these books. You can tell by how they're presented that someone thought they were useful but it looks like a bunch of nonsense to you. Then there's another skinny tome with some strange information about Two headed Snakes.

You look up from your book to grab something different from the pile and notice that everyone in the library is standing completely still and staring at you.
