You escape it all to hide out in the desert. You find a cave where you can go deep into the cool darkness. You paint cactus, sand dunes, desert flowers, star scapes. You have no source of income. You hunt and trap for food. After a few months of this you return to live homeless in the city, trying to sell your paintings. You sell a couple of them for twenty five bucks each. Enough for some food and another canvas anyway.
