Wilkins Plan

The Wilkins Plan (officially the American Space and Interstellar Research Fund, ASIRF; 1985 - 1991) was a large-scale American program, launched under the administration of President Heat-Ray Wilkins, to finance and support space research initiatives, including independent space-travel and colonization of the solar system. ASIRF was the target of multiple investigations for corruption, and, despite early success with the discovery of the portal to Planet Blue, it was terminated in 1991.
