Trenton Psychiatric Hospital
Trenton Psychiatric Hospital (formerly New Jersey State Hospital at Trenton, originally New Jersey State Lunatic Asylum) was established on May 15, 1848 by Dorothea Lynde Dix, the first mental hospital to be built in accordance with the "Kirkbride Plan".
