Lord Jeebus came to save this world but he was killed by wicked Pagans from the empire of GraK, which no one knows anyone who has been there. It is known that he shall come back on a white cloud flanked by faceless angels blowing long golden horns. The place he shall land is named Dead Field. This region is kept cleansed of the filth of life. All plants and animals are killed with guns, poison and fire. When Jeebus arrives he shall send a wave of avenging angels to burn the land of all unrighteous life. All non-believers, plants and animals shall burn before the searing rage of the Angels. Most of all the Elves must die. The Thou-Shalts sect shall survive unharmed to walk the cleansed earth with Lord Jeebus and a host of divine beings. The world shall grow back in a eternal purity. The land of plenty where the day's toils are forever layed aside.
The Kingdom of Mayze is a major stronghold of the Shalter's religion. There was warehouses there of weapons of mass destruction to burn the bad from the world. They have a detailed map of coming events and they believe if Jeebus does not come according to this map then they must force fate. This is done by doing the Clearing themselves. Starting with all non-believers and non human races and ending in everything being burned with fire and chemicals. They know they are the chosen and the burning shall not harm the right ones. Bombs, chemical and biological agents. Brightly colored and very loud fireworks burning away from the silo. A bright war. So much of Mayze's rich resources having stockpiled these supplies for generations. People striking the bells and banging the noise makers that line the sides of the great silo. Howling along and they're screams are drowned out by the clamor. All will happen on schedule. They know the day and hour the Lord shall return. They know the whole time line and that he divine shall cleanse this earth of all its impurity. But if this does not happen on its own the Shalters shall make it happen. Bring about this brutal loud end themselves. Restore the world in The Joyful Holy Bonfire.
Burn the woods of the wildlands. Slaughter all the Thou Shalt's own stock of animals to be consumed in massive cook outs that go on for days. Drinking all the booze. The shalter's have a no booze allowed clause in the Great book. But most of them have personal stocks of booze anyway and its not really considered such a sin to drink some when the work day is done and a lot when the weekend hits the spot. But in the final week no rules apply and stores have invested tons of money into the underground storage houses full of spirts.
