Magafungo was an American film under the development of Adhiambo Ackland (ESM), the Quick Nods, and Donal Schreier. The film entered principal photography in July 2012, only to be suspended and subsequently cancelled [1] owing to legal troubles experienced by the band, and budget problems caused by the production delays.
Few details have emerged, but it is believed to inspired loosely by William Hope Hodgson's story "The Voice in the Night" and the Japanese film "Matango". P.Y.J. Simonson stated in an interview "the principle concept is very close [to Matango], but there the similarities end."
