1874, what a year. The Infictive Research project would not come into being for another, say, 133 years... or did it exist, and we just do not have right memory. These are recollections of that bygone time.


  1. The election of the Unknown President. His true name and identifying characteristics appear to have been stricken from all records.
  2. Eureka, California was reincorporated as a city on February 19, 1874.
  3. The last body is laid to rest at Saint Mot Cemetery, now abandoned.
  4. The discovery of gold in the Black Hills of the South Dakota territory by George Armstrong Custer's Black Hills Expedition. As you may have predicted, the Lakota tribes who lived in the region would be forced to move promptly thereafter.
  5. John Ernst Worrell Keely first demonstrates his "induction resonance motion motor" to peers.
  6. A poetry collection composed by the late q.c. goings is discovered and quickly .
