Howard Barton Unruh (January 21, 1921 - October 19, 2009) was an American WWII veteran and convicted mass murderer; he is potentially one of the first of the 'Lone Gunmen'. Mr. Unruh spent most of his life in the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital (formerly called the New Jersey State Hospital at Trenton).
