May 20, 1862	President Lincoln passes the Homestead Act, allowing farmers can take over large areas of land recently seized from Native Americans. As a result, Mystery X's ancestors relocate from the Deep South to Kansas, establishing farms on what was recently the homeland of America's indigenous people; X lives on a patch of the original free land handout. He still hears the voices of angry Native Americans in the wind.
August 30, 1868	Leonard "Live-Forever" Jones dies.
1888	The British Royal College of Science publishes an account of Dr. Moses Nebogipfel's time experiments.
January 1, 1889	Wovoka has his vision of the resurrection Paiute dead and the removal of whites from North America, leading him to teach his people of the Ghost Dance.
March 25, 1916	"Mr. Ishi", last member of the Yahi tribe of Northern California, known as the "last wild Indian", dies.
January 20, 1920	Guo Moruo completes his first draft of "Nirvana of the Phoenix"; the final version would be completed by January 3, 1928.
March 13, 1921	Roman Ungern von Sternberg proclaims Mongolia an independent monarchy under his rule. His regime exists for six months, ending with his ouster and hand over to the Red Army on August 21, 1921, and his execution on September 15, 1921.
July 16, 1945	"Now we are all sons of bitches." Trinity conducted by USARMY in the Jornada del Muerto desert, about 35 miles (56 km) southeast of Socorro, New Mexico, at the White Sands Proving Ground.
October 4, 1957	Sputnik 1 (Спутник-1) is launched into an elliptical low earth orbit by the Soviet Union.
October 5 – October 17, 1970	October Crisis (La crise d'octobre) in Quebec, Canada. Members of the Front de libération du Québec (FLQ) murder Quebec trade minister Pierre Laporte, kidnap British Trade Commissioner James Cross.
January 20, 2001	Giles Thrush becomes president of the United States. Under his leadership, America conquered and annexed seven Middle Eastern nations (including Iraq).
November 30, 2006	Buddy Johnson passed through on his way to parts unknown.
December 30, 2006	Mollkins are first presented as a legitimated species group (rather than being treated as deformed humans) by American geneticists; this action paves the way for decades of unclear policy regarding their human rights status. Their sudden appearance and population explosion radically alter international legal and social culture.
January 9, 2007	The horrorist group IO issues the "Foundation Day" declaration, beginning their long-running campaign.
November 1, 2007	Ikory declares independence from Canada. Ikorian militia engage in a series of violent skirmishes with Canadian police and military that last through to January 2008, ending in a cease-fire but no legal acceptance of Ikorian sovereignty by any Canadian or international body.
November 12, 2007	Washington A C rises up from the ocean, quickly being colonized by aggressive American land-grabbers. Within the year, it became the 52nd American state.
December 14, 2007	Unsama Ben Mollkin declares that the capture and enslavement of Mollkins will be met with force, calls all Mollkins to support Hizmollka. Ten days later, on Christmas Eve, Hizmollka cells in Washington DC topple the Washington Monument and blow up a tanker full of pig's blood inside the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

January 14, 2011	The Tunisian government falls after a month of increasingly violent protests; President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali flees to Saudi Arabia after 23 years in power. This event sparks a chain of related government ousters, mass protests, and even a U.S.-backed civil war in Libya.
May 1, 2011	President Liberal declares that Unsama Ben Mollkin has been killed by U.S. forces.
August 15, 2011	The Canadian federal government, in collaboration with Quebec provincial authorities, launch a "police action" against Ikory, aimed at ousting the rebel leadership and restoring provincial authority.
