Your tide finally turns when you get a couple gigs in Washington A C. You play the Shotgun Forest and another club called the Pig Jowls. You have practiced so much during your year and a half together that all your songs are polished til they shine. You do mostly Kobe Beef and Kyle Deerbone covers but you have a small handful of original tunes like Babe on a horse that the audience responds well to. They are even clapping and singing along when this song gets towards the end with just you crooning and fat stinky ol Chubba Hess playing the cymbals low and slow.
There's no Country bands in A C and few tour. The club owner offers you a contract to gig here every Friday night. The band jumps at the chance and they get side gigs at a few of the OFTL friendly clubs in the area as well.
