Your job is to take fleshy scraps of road kill that you gather up in the early morning hours and take them downstairs in a bucket. Down there in a heavy steel cage is what could be an ape, man, and something else at the same time. This beast apparently has a human brain, but it is damaged and altered by the doctor's experiments. It stands seven foot tall and it is thick and strong. Its eyes wave on crab-like eye-stalks. It is always hungry and it eats with a nasty greed. But, you and the beast have bonded. The beast loves you because you feed it and talk kindly to it. Its not just an over-sized lab rat to you. It's a friend. The creature has fish like gills that apparently allow it to breathe underwater. You pet the beast and play fight with it. The doctor forbids it, but he is always upstairs working on some other project. He has mostly given up on this experiment but he wants to know how long it can live if fed.
