Wererabbits

Wererabbits are furry little morphing death monsters, so cute at first, you may let one into your home to curl up around your head while you sleep. Not a good idea when the right moon cycle hits. Wererabbits change under a completely random cycle. It's true. Some change on the half moon, or crescent. My favorites only change on the blue moon, but they show a fury that could plot a horror movie. My cousin had a encounter with one when he was a child. He isstill haunted by it. He was playing in the woods when he saw a dead tree with a big hole inside it. In that hole was a wererabbit, snow white with blazeing red eyes and fangs that dripped blood, he turned and fled.

It was long known that these unfriendly animals transform, hence the were part of the name, but now it is confirmed that when not in rabbit form these creatures are moles. While in this mole form they only eat a albino underground lizard who itself only eats burrowing insects.

Interesting Trivia: A beloved children's story "Little wererabbit eats guts" was read by all children in the years of 67-69. The new order banned the book in 1970 and it has not been seen since. You can't even find a copy of this book on E-bray.
