Vegitable Rights

Free to be.

Vegitable Rights are uncommonly understood as "the inalienable, fundamental rights to which the 'vegitible' (the corrected spelling of "vegetable", per Eric Podd) body, the vegitative self, is inherently entitled simply by their existing", conceived as universal and egalitarian by the activists who make the claims. Presently, there are no laws relating to the rights of plant self-determination in any known statues, though some moderates within the movement claim great progress in the area of environmental protection. Vegitible rights activists frequently make strong claims, viz the inhumanity of consuming plants (refer "WOE TO YOU, O VEGAN, KILLER OF VEGETATION!"), often in the face of considerable skepticism about the content, nature, and justifications of vegitible rights. Indeed, the question of what is meant by a "right" is itself controversial and the subject of continued philosophical debate.

Technology-based Activism

The Vegitable Rights movement typically has remained aloof from the digital spaces created by humanity, but one enterprising front has crafted a "spam" filter that blocks any internet websites that contain recipes for meat patties.

International Movement

In addition to their stronghold in Humboldt, California, the movement has had success in select other countries, such as the Uglavarian Vegitable rights movement.

Celebrity Support

They have a young punk radical side with bands like The low intention spans and Johnny Automatic and the Vegitable Rights Band.
