They send you home

Hell you are getting better but they decide your too injured to be in the war any more and you don't argue. You just go home. But your home was burned down during the war and it's just a blackened heap of picked through debris now. Some homecoming. Everyone you knew is dead still in the war or moved away. Things have changed in a dismal way.
