The other kids, mostly the Xmas cult kids, keep teasing Methew about his Groundhog effigy and making threats against his person. You only know this because Methew's teacher calls you very concerned about his recent withdrawal. She has been trying to keep the other kids off his back, but "you know how those Xmas kids can be", code for her having a family and not wanting to get too involved.
