The crew land the ship on a strange new world

The crew finds a strange new world. Full of strange life forms and plants. It lands at the edge of a fungal forest. The crew are scared of exploring the place. Big insects and weird looking animals about.

They decide to send you out since you are crazy anyway. They point out the many kinds of colorful mushrooms that grow all over and ask you to get a bag and fill it up with them so we can have a really really good supper. You fall for it. While the crew watches you gear up, grab a big silver sack and head out there. The air is full of sounds as you begin picking fist sized caps with your silver protective gloves. You almost step on a long six foot creature that looks somewhere between insect and snake. It has a transparent wormy body with spiraling organs inside that work and churn and gurgle.

You jump back in shock. It coils with a loud squirting of fluids sound. It's head is a armored thorned spear head. It thrusts forwards with amazing speed, leaving a jet of fluids to shoot from its hindquarters. the spear head strikes your chest and digs right in. You are thrown down and the beast wraps around you. Millions of tiny sucker cups attach and suck. Sucking so hard as to drain the blood and fluids from the skin leaving your body a dry husk.
