The blue festival

The huge painted night cityscape parts to reveal a festival of early October. The blue festival. All the adults have they're faces and hands painted blue. They ring creepy silent bells. Golden and silver bells wrapped with sinew around deer antlers. A somber festival. Black smoke from censors darkening the brightly lit prop street. The kids are given candies in brightly colored shining foils. Many kids are crying. They do not recognize the blue faced adults with pasted on stern eyebrows and stark frowns. The candy is laced with a bitter red berry that grows on the other side of the far woods. The kids eyes glisten with a strange buzz they only are dosed with once a year until they are eight. We no longer know but fragments of the myth behind this odd holiday. So much lost in the ancient veil of the long far past.
