Bud can't stand that fucking smear. No one else would ever notice, but to him it shines out like a beacon. So he ends up giving the car to his nephew Billy McFing for a graduation present. Billy is overjoyed to have his own car. And such a nice one at that. He is eternally grateful and this benefits Budd as now he has a dog sitter on call when he needs one. It still bothers him on Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers when that smeared car is parked and he has to go by it. But the next year Billy wrecks the car and that fender is replaced.
