Tarzan learns to use a long stick that he makes pointy to jab at the apes. He kills several apes this way and they learn to shy away from him most times. He has finally found a spot near water where the apes will leave him alone long enough to drink and rest in the cool shade.
He came in from the arid edge of the desert where they had chased him furious pointy stick in hand.
Elephants suddenly appear and start to make a racket.
He jumps up and shouts and threatens with his pointed stick.
A large elephant begins to knock at the tree with its head in an effort to shake him loose.
