A apocalyptic event. Its a dimension quake. Causing parallel world leakage. Starts with protagonist having a awful day at work that concludes with him being fired. He gets a early out from losing his job he will buy booze get drunk and the dimension quake will happen. A shitty day at work, got there late boss has pulled him aside twice to reprimand him. The tubby tough girl lesbian co worker is shouting him down and being a power tripping bitch. He gets called to office after a shouting conflict with this co worker and he gets fired. He leaves building and there is a strange almost electrical charge in the air. The sky has a strange yellow cast to it. Whitish lightning but no clouds. He gets in car and starts it up. Turns on the radio and its mostly static where the presets are. scans for stations finding mostly static, white noise but also some strange music he can't identify but only flashes get threw before static drowns it cut.
There seems to be a lot more then normal amount of siren activity. the air almost crackles with that charged feeling. It gives him a strange sensation in the back of his head. Like a other form of sense that his brain can only translate as a feeling. Yet it seems oddly familiar. It feels like something is building. Something big. Before arriving home he sees ripples in the sky. Ripples of strange colors like the oily film of a soap bubble.
He gets home where he is smoking drinking and watching the sky. The radio, TV cell phone all without signal now. Sudden cold and hot blasts of wind. Strange scents in the air. Other people are also on their porches watching the sky. There is a loud bass roar drone in the sky.Long waving spirals of low flying fire catch some roof tops on fire. A airplane burst into flames in the sky, spiraling down, looks like it hit hit near to your house. people watch in shock and horror. The plane comes down a third block away. shaking the ground exploding. Shrapnel ripping up houses and starting fires.
After the break down he encounters people he hates from the past and without law or government starting he gets a series of revenges. Houses starting going up like torches. Protag runs to his car and speeds off. Before the whole neighborhood goes up in flames.
New hills rise breaking up streets and buildings. Sees a dying creature on the pavement. Looks like something between an squid and a soft pulsing root. Tentacles rising and falling weakly, white saucer eyes bulging out. Chest swelling and contracting like its trying to breathe some atmosphere that is not there. Now dude is really freaking out
A seven foot like creature with a long black barbed tail is moves with and a narrow torso with four barbed arms, small round head with eye stalks and cruel insect like mandibles chases down a running family. Gets a kid and starts eating him like a preying Mantis is such size would. Drive on fast blood smears and debris on the road, The road becomes impassible. Bridge is out, fallen below. The car high centers in the broken road tires up to the top with crumpled asphalt dude in on foot now. He runs looking for shelter. Ends up on a street where people are fleeing a herd of monkey like creature with very long talon-ed arms. Protag joins the group rushing into a standing building and barricading the door. Angry monster monkeys pressing to the glass, heads more like spiders with several eyes in a disturbing pattern. The survivres flee further into the building and out of site the monkeys move on.
They band together and compete for dominance. This is where the rift between Protag and Danny Prince starts. They warehouse where they are has food and drink in it including fresh produce. They hole up here and the power goes out. Find improv weapons eat. bicker for control some more. but Danny seems to be taking over. At some point others are not around, doing watches or chores and its just Protag Lori baby and Danny Prince who has been flirting with Lori. Lori says she needs to by herself time to walk around the floors and get her shit together asks them to watch the baby while she's smoking and walking. She's she shall be back in fifteen minutes tops. They O k this. Baby keeps crying and fussing. Danny is very annoyed with it and even shouts at it to shut up. He talks protag to find her purse to get a pacifier. When protag is doing this chore Danny kills the baby with his knife and it makes no louder scream then it was already making. bundles it in its portable little crib. Protag returns with pacifier and is told the baby fell asleep. No its dead. When she and the others come around and Lori discovers her murdered baby Danny takes charge and says Protag did it!The murderous looks he gets. Lori jumps him punching scratching kicking. Some of the others are going the improv weapons. Protag fights off Lori shoving her down hard as Danny charges him with a baseball bat. Protag gets lucky with the only weapon he has, shoving his long car key into dude's eye. Howls of pain and Prot runs being chased and they scream they will find him and kill him. Things went south fast.
Escapes. Has some scary close calls. Ends up in a other world field. Strange primal prairie grass. Huge bison roam about with rough yarn carpets tied their backs. A moment of peace here in a nightmare world.
