You are having a hard time getting out without being burned to death. You are blind amongst a raging house fire. But someone sees the house is flaming and they call 911 while driving by on they're cell phone. The fire department rushes over in no time and begin putting it out. They bring you out and take you to the hospital. You are put on a morphine I V drip and you are feeling much better. You tell the police what happened and it becomes a major local news story. The hospital charges you nothing for saving your eye. Not only that but people in the community pitch in and buy you a new home decked out with nice stuff. Better then what you had before!
