Sleepwaking

Sleepwaking, another of the books that McFing never published, but instead burned in a big pile as the result of a demon voice's warnings. He remembers little about the book itself: the main memory is that the drunken/stoned main character had a truck that had a auto-pilot feature that had five presets. He punched in his home, work, his friend Fredrich Blackstreak's home, a local spiritual party zone called Twin Bridges, and a randomize. He had been having problems with the presets lately; they were getting quirky. For example, he would hit the work preset, and it should take him to work and chime a alarm to let him know that he was there, but once it took him to some deserted country road and didn't chime. He woke up there forty five minutes later and drove to work in manual mode. Little bugs like that happened here and there until the night he returned to his house by hitting the home preset and crashing in the seat. The chime rang, and he staggered inside for a long piss and a longer sleep. When he woke up that late afternoon and went out to go get some soda, his truck was gone. He never found it.
