Poultry rights is a broad political thought revolving around the rights and powers of poultry (though some take offense to the term poultry, preferring gallos rights (Native Spanish Speakers must understand the term Gallo does NOT mean Cock, in this context) or the broader bird rights) in modern society, and specifically the agitation and lobbying to "end the domestication and murder of birds for the purpose of harvesting their bodies for food and fashion".

Uglavaria, the first state in the world to be led by a chicken, has been one of the foremost promoters of this ideology, going so far as to commit acts of terrorism against poultry farms and restaurants, fund death squads dedicated to the killing of wolves, coyotes, and foxes, and other unkind activities.
