Oblivion Park (named for Ludwig van Oblivion) is the place to be in Oldtown Libreville, stomping ground of students on break from community college, centre stage for festivals. Situated right across from the Public Library, within walking distance of the Clement Museum and other cultural sites, very near to City Hall and the Courthouse. At the very center of the park is the first tree ever planted by the town elders, which has been watered and tended all these decades since, growing up and up into a giant of a tree.
