Mao Town

The Guanghan Mental Health Study, more commonly Mao Town, is allegedly to have been a short-lived program dedicated to "curing" mental defects in PRC political dissidents; specifically, the study was charted to explore the potential that untreated physical infection is the cause of madness. It is speculated that experimental medical technologies were used on patients, including neural stimulation devices and new drug compounds, in addition to more traditional surgical and dental techniques. The program itself is denied as having ever existed, denounced as being purely the imaginal product of the criminal "Tin Teeth".
