Lock the remaining books in a vault far under ground

Fearing a murder theft scenario you make a deep deep underground vault full of food, weapons, entertainment and those tomes. You go down there sometimes and browse the ancient books, taking digital pictures, PDF files of the tomes. A few months go by and you start hearing strange sounds from the vault below. This frightens you. You grab you A K 15 rifle, full automatic with lazer site. You go down there to check it out, taking secret elevator two.

It smells foul down here. You step in something squishy. Its some sorta of black slime. You follow the trail down the hall. The tome room is ahead, and the massive metal door is open when it should be locked! You run in there, slipping in the slime you fall. You hear a strange hissing growl. You look up at something out of a nightmare! A creature, its black and grey body a series of swollen semi-transparent bubbles. It has a mad series of tentacles, with little holes lined with spikes all up and down them. You raise the gun and start shooting. You plug ten shots into the monster, making this jelly like oozing purple and silver gore fly out the flatten against the walls and undulate there. Several of the things bubbles explode sending a searing acid like much into your face, arms and torso. You are blinded and over whelmed with burning pain. Your screams fill the metal vault as the creature flops itself onto you and begins eating.
