Today is Monday, September 10, 2012. Do you remember who you are this time? Concentrate, concentrate.

  • With elections just two months away, the biggest surprise in the county has been the boom in support for Despina Wassum in the 3rd (South and West) over incumbent Beat Eichhörnchen. If her numbers hold until election day, this change on the county board, and Brit Marvel's six point lead over Mayor Argyris in Libreville, may mean a more conservative government for the entire county.

  • All production on the Quick Nods' vehicle "Magafungo", previously reported as being merely suspended, has been officially cancelled by Elephant Street Media, the Libreville-based producers, citing loss of secured financing. It is unclear what, if any, new projects may be in development by ESM following this disappointing announcement, given how much had been invested into the film.

  • The latest documentary by Michael Morgan Burnsheim, detailing the modern world of "holiday gangs", is filming in the county for the next few months, and some locals are calling foul on the whole thing. "Kids will be kids, and we cannot very well ban the holidays," said Pastor David Alessi of the Libreville Church. "The whole 'gangster' angle only overblows and glamorises a very small element, and paints all these passionate, enthusiastic youngsters in a very negative light."

  • After first being reported several weeks ago, an official federal investigation into the mysterious robot invasion of the village of Santa Magic has been made, the official explanation writing off the sightings as a hoax. Similar sightings had been reported in the towns of Simpso and Ketjack some days after the Santa Magic sightings were published in local papers, but those were quickly revealed to have been pranks by area youth, playing on the earlier witness testimonials. The villagers who claim to have seen first-hand the mechanical marauders remain defiant, despite the government report, and have issued a call for open-minded researchers to further investigate their claims.

And so went the week In Infictive. You know, except for everything we left out.
