Frank Pilks the explorer

From early childhood Frank Pilks wanted to explore the world. Discover ancient wonders new regions. He played explorer a lot as a kid and when he was twenty and had some money saved back from his three years of flipping burgers he decided he would start his journeys now. Where more economic place to start then the very sewers under the city. He bought some gear and descended. Wandering endless reeking halls. He caught some infection there vomiting and coughing. Sick as a dog and regretting his decision to start here. But he did see some interesting things that he wrote about while recovering in bed at home. He left this journal entry behind when he started out again. So Frank Pilks takes off for Lake Crump. Ancient peoples who pre-dated the Native Americans lived here. The lake has an island that is a volcano that keeps the lake warm all winter long with legendary good tasting Water Radishes that are only found there. So He walked the shores of this beautiful lake. A wooded area on the other side where spear heads are still sometimes found. He gathered up water radishes and eat them fresh from the water. So good! So crunchy yet creamy a kick of flavor that leaves its residues in your belches for hours. Frank decides that when he retires in about fifty years he will live here.

But Frank just keeps wandering the shores year in year out. A calm quiet life here. But he realizes some force has put the fast forward on his life. It seemed pleasant but it came and went in a flash. He dies on the shore and is found later that morning. A old Man who never explored much.
