Elvin Artifacts

Delarc L'Clevins knew that is was forbidden by his parents to explore Elvin Ruins. But he did it anyway. The obsession started when he found a broken half of a Elf carved arrowhead. It was a powdery blue with long curving silver flecks. He was fascinated. So he took it home to proudly show his mother. How could she be angry about something so special, so ancient, so beautiful.

When he pulled the four hundred year old ornately carved arrowhead fragment from his pocket Mother slapped it out of his hand and stomped it into the ground angrily. She was trying to break it but she couldn't. Then she spanked him and sent him off to bed four hours early and without supper.

A couple of days later Delarc returned to the spot his mother had stomped the arrowhead into the ground. It took him fifteen minutes of digging around to locate it. Now he kept it hidden. The outside walls of his parent's house where lined with craggy pocked rocks and he found a good deep hole in one he could stash the arrowhead in. He kept it there a secret. A year later he built a tree house deep in the woods with his friend Vuddy. He kept the arrowhead there and he would turn it over and over in his hand admiring it. Vudds thought it was really cool too.

A couple of weeks later Delarc met Vuddy at the treehouse. Vuddy showed his these ornate bottles of Mullberry juice made by Elves that he found along the trees that border the Wildlands. They where magical looking bottles. Colored glass in crazy serpentine twists. Vuddy found six bottles mostly buried in the earth. It was approaching spring and the bottles where cold. They opened one and it tasted fresh and sweet and good as newly made. They shared one bottle a day until the supply ran out. Delarc saved the wonderful bottles in a box with his arrowhead fragment. He didn't believe the things his teachers taught him in school about the elves. He didn't believe they where lazy dirty sissies who lay around all day coated in their own waste and playing flutes and harps. Maybe the flutes and harps part. He thought of them as a great magical mystical culture of the not too long ago past. Driven out killed off by humans who occupied these regions.
