You are in Cuba on the racing track. Betting big money on the winning horse. You are tailing a Cuban agent who has biological weapons secrets you government would like to recover. The agent is not doing so well. You strike up a conversation with him and you offer to loan him a hand full of bills and maybe his luck will change. It does, a sniper meaning to take him out misses and your head splits apart.
