"Gentlewomen, gentlemen, gentlebots, I thank you for the opportunity to speak my own testimony on behalf of the plantiff, which, as has been established, exists in a chain of what we might call narrative linkage to my own person, and, I add, it is for that reason I have stood down from judgement as a standing member of the Infictive:IO and ranking infictitivist. I do this out of interest to fairness in this precedent setting case that we are attempting to put before the eyes of our peers, a case that will enable us to move forward in a way that will prevent such terrible offenses from taking place in future. This is not a legal dispute, or even a narrative dispute, as some may fear, but it is a point of arbitration that must be settled.
"What is fair play? To my mind, it is simple consideration. Consideration for the work that others have put forward, and consideration for how your collaboration with it may be read by your fellow authors. Is it then fair play to have one's very honour called into question in relationship to absolutely arbitrary insertions into story, insertions that have no established causal linkage in other works, outside the author's apparent desire to malign through bad associations? One may argue that it was in jest, a friendly gesture, and others may argue it is a case of failure in due diligence and proper research into the matter before casting accusations. I believe it is the latter case, and believe it will be proved in light of alarming evidence that will be brought to attention in due course.
"What is a just compensation? It is here that we come to the trickier part of the case, and one that we need to seek clarity and clear precedent on. There has been only one incident of mutual compensation in the form of points being exchanged, in the case of User:Ikipr's awarding two posts in an exchange for an interruption of existing work, an action that took place in private arbitration. To date, there is no mechanism in place to enable the automated exchange of scored points, and nor is there any strong value attachment to them, except as a means of measuring activity. However, it is my belief that activity cannot be measured exclusively by the awarding of points for posts and uploads, and, so, we are left to the question of what do the points represent, and what their value to the community might be, if any.
"No, I do not believe that User:Juanochoa's post on toxic dumping will bring serious ruination to the name 'Brenicorp', or 'Brenico', or to myself. The claims expressed in it are too absurd to even consider as true. It is, at best, a trolling action, but one which we can use to better ourselves and to educate the inexperienced authors.
"Ultimately, it is totally fair to say this case may be regarded a penalization of User:Juanochoa for his poor attempt at trolling, and it is for this reason I believe that it must be orchestrated for as long as possible to have the maximum effect. Therefore, expect a great mound of evidence that User:Juanochoa is a scoundrel, a libelist, and a miscreant, with no offense intended to him, only the hopes that the IO will award User:LouisWu471 many of User:Juanochoa's points. Not because it is fair, as it is admittedly completely arbitrary, but because User:Juanochoa surrendered so quickly, and without any real fight.
"Thank you, and Death to the Great Alarm."
