Blas Tech can't do open business with the Alliance since the Empire came down hard and made them sign papers to strictly sell to the Empire. The Alliance would stop and take possession of any weapons cargo they found of Blas Tech ships in their areas of control.

If Blas Tech was not being secretly paid they would easily be able to evade most of the "commandeering" of weapons cargo by Alliance Forces.

We will have to confiscate this cargo.

It was just a routine inspection. The calm and friendly relationship between them seemed more like a business deal than a weapons seizure. Generally the Alliance would seize the smugglers ship but we have let the last few light HWK freighters off with just taking the weapons cashe. We have an astonishingly high rate of capture on the edges of the the Doldur sector.
