The American Free States (also referred to as the Free States, the F.S., the AFS, or America) is a loose bloc of American city-states and regional territories, organized to form a joint military force against outside powers. Their territorial base is situated mostly in the Americas and Asia-Pacific. The bloc itself provides few internal community services, leaving the bulk of the administration, policing, and organization of society to private organizations and local "free associations".
