A bad tropical storm hits

The sky goes black fast. The winds tussle everyone's hair. The rich passengers flee downstairs while you and the captain fight the storm. The boat is nearly turning sideways. Water flooding into the cabin below. The captain ties a rope to his ankle to keep from being knocked overboard. You do the same. The mast you are tied to snaps. It falls into the churning ocean and you are dragged in with it. The mast sinks below the waves and you drown trying to get free from the rope.
