Terracotta figure of Priapos standing on a plinth with his legs slightly bent and his tunic drawn up to expose his phallus, which he holds with his right hand.

You, seeker of the mystery text referred to in the songs of Dick Lickley, will find there are many candidates proposed, none confirmed, all disputed, some purely fantastical. Among them:

  • "The Linga-Yoga of Master Hinds Lioncock", translated from original scrolls in 1898 by Baron Jog Thyn-Sesame. Alas for scholars, the translation was thoroughly underappreciated in its day, going unpublished and later simply lost. All knowledge to be had of it comes from a solitary reference in "The Great Book of Hindoo Phallic Art, thee Magical Phallus, and Eastern Phallic Worship" (1918).
  • "The Syriac Priapos", a text of disputed origin, likely dating back to the 14th century Italian Renaissance, though adherents claim it is far, far older. It is also called the True Key of Solomon.
  • "Hara Huna Cocksmanship: The Restored Rituals Underlying Modern Yoga, Buddhism, and Classical Religions", authored by the pseudonymous "Rajah Sun Colacoo" (attributed to J.O. Aloha). The text is claimed to be a collection of the initiation rituals and priestly secrets of an ancient mystery religion practised in the Tibetan Himalayans thousands of years ago, restored by the Rajah following his contact with the lost tribesmen, the Yeti, and his "crowning".
