Martha Hazelden was born Martha Hortense Crawley in December of 1947, just before the California Gold Rush. She married Hank Hazelden in 1896 and they moved to the Yukon in 1897 to try their luck in the Klondike Gold Rush. If you're doing your math, you'll see that Martha was 50 years old at the time, but she didn't look a day over 27. And do you know why? I'll tell you why. It's because she had become an accomplished demonolatrist, and had been turned into a vampire when she was young and beautiful. Martha never wanted to grow old and she never wanted to die because she loved life and was out for revenge. She lived through the gay 90s, the roaring 20s, the Great Depression...and she will tell you all about them if you ask. Don't ask. If you do, you will know her secret; that she is far older than she should be. And if you learn her secret, she will turn you into a vampire.
Now you are probably asking yourself why, if Martha looked no older than 27 in 1896, should she appear as a decrepit old woman to her neighbor in the present time. This is a story Martha will not tell you; how she was tricked into giving up her vampirehood.
