Eric Podd

Eric Podd (Born 1966) resident of Humboldt County, California who was founder of Plants are People in 1993, is a radical vegitable rights activist. He was considered the Johnny Appleseed of the plant liberation and vegitable rights movement gaining national attention when he seeded the White House lawn with a pernicious Dandy-Lion seed that he had developed. Podd scattered these seeds all along the U.S. during his Greatful Dead Tour experiences, where they continue to defy lawn owners and prison road crews cleaning weeds. Podd had quite a following of female follwers until the Greatful Dead broke up. These female "flowers" would preach the doctrine of Flower Power to guys zonked out on acid and mushrooms. The "flowers" always seemed to have an endless supply of nitrous whip-its, that they would freely share when discussing the plight of the plants. Between these seemingly peace loving journeys Eric Podd found plenty of time to foment turmoil. Plants are People causing several riots. Podd is known to operate a small organic farm with some of his most loyal "flowers". Large sections of the farm are set up for plants to grow freely. Most of the revenue from Podd's farm is from the bags of soil that he sells to underground pot farmers. One of the most unique developments has been Podd's method of ingesting THC. In the fall the "flowers" and the members of Podd's inner circle gather and run through the pot feilds coating their bodies with the crystals, they then rub each other with warm oils and have an orgy. During off times of the years Podd is known to use small grow rooms and then twirl amongst the plants to coat his body in crystals and resin. The occultism of Emmanual Swedenborg deeply influenced Eric Podd and this was a direct result of his researches into the life of Johnny Appleseed. Swedenborgian techniques lay at the base of his claims to have spoken with the plants. A few of his ex-followers have exposed that he has claimed to be in contact with a race of extre-terresetrial plant beings. At Eric Podd's farm there is ongoing research into the Biological Communications of L. George Lawrence's Galactic Life Unveiled, Interstellar Communications and Their Subliminal Effects on Man. Some of his research filtering into a local alternative science magazine that is published in the area.
