Peter Dunstan Crump.

Peter Dunstan Crump, father of Aron Crump, one of the original settlers of Libreville. As a speculator and tradesman, Peter Crump was one of the few to gain from the promise of wealth in the Oregon borderland, striking gold on at least two claims, a foundation which enabled him to expand his interests in the community. It has often been suggested that without the involvement of Crump, the town of Libreville might have fizzled out in the decades that followed the bust of the gold rush.
