It's hard to believe the mayor would do that. After so many terrible mayors, each one a violent lunatic in his own right, this mayor has always seemed kind... fair... But you've no doubt that this mayor has the intelligence, the ability, and the will to carry out this kind of psychic assassination attempt on you personally while at the same time competently addressing the rest of his constituents. Your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers. While he kills you. Gets you to put your guard down with his perfect words. And then maybe the boots kicking the walls in, or they breach the basement bulkhead and throw in some kind of gas grenade or stun grenade. Or somehow... with only his mind...
The mayor could do that. But would the mayor do that? Would he do it to you?
