You go into shock

The horror of it all causes you to just kinda shut down. You crouch the pavement of the road's shoulder and drop the gun. You rock back and forth moaning and making strange hissing noises. You are just shutting down. Blocking everything out and you fall into a trance like state of sheer useless panic. Nicolm meanwhile finds his way back to you. But he is dead now. A hungry zombie. A decaying mass of flesh animated and driven by pure back brain hunger instinct. He comes up behind as you still rock and moan, unaware of the outside world. He grabs your head and bites into your nose working it furiously. You fight back bucking and kicking screaming wordless screams. He is much stronger then you in life and no less so in death. You are in a hold you cannot break and he takes bite after bite until you are a zombie too. You can Nicolm wander down the shoulder of the road, towards Libreville.
