One hundred miles is how far you trudge, seeing only bears and wolves along the way. The coffee slowly runs out and you miss it's warmth when its gone. You are deep into the majestic Canadian wilderness. You would be really cold if not for being warmed by this fifteen hour walk. You decide to unroll your sleeping bag right here in the woods as it is getting dark and windy. You sleep for seven hours, a cold dreamless sleep. The rays of morning sun light force your lids open. You see that someone has carved into the tree you happened to sleep under. "Gwodder was here", The knife edged message reads. Looks like it was carved some months ago. But you know you are on the right track now.
