Today is Monday, December 15, 2014, which, as you must know, marks Zamenhof Day, a celebration of L.L. Zamenhof and his world language Esperanto. This date is also the anniversary of the Soviet Venera 7's Venus landing, the first in world history, and the memorial for the collapse of the Silver Bridge at Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
And this is your week that was!
Johannes Creighton, a U.S. citizen, who was captured last weekend illegally entering Uglavaria via a miniature submarine, has delivered a lengthy denunciation of U.S. policy and is now seeking political asylum in Morocco, the Uglavarian Press Office reports. Creighton, 62, from Austin, Texas, in video footage of a press conference released by the UPO to international media, said he had taken "a risky journey to reach Uglavaria so that I could pass along some very valuable and disturbing information to Urgallus Gallus".
The Libreville X-Mass Film Festival drew the largest crowds ever thanks to the premiere of "Loose Demons", a not-particularly-festive documentary feature that the director claims "asks the tough questions about the true causes of world disorder on our planet." The organizers of the event said the double feature of "Loose Demons" (2014) and Michael Morgan Burnsheim's "Holiday Gangs" (2012) documentary proved the most popular screenings of the night, and applauded the open-mindedness and inquisitiveness of the audiences who "were no doubt surprised to see serious pieces of investigative work included in an otherwise traditional line-up of holiday fare."
Word from the local music rumor mill is that Mitch Roth Welks, formerly of The Shunting, has booked a long block of studio time at the latest incarnation of the Marching Mushroom Studio, and plans to have a new album recorded and ready for 2015 with his new band, The Libbie Fog. If the story proves true, this will be the first studio album by Welks since the Shunting broke up in 2012.
The image at the top of this installment of In Infictive is a story in itself. Look at it.
The Biebs is going to keep pounding those 40s, getting ready for the new year.
So went your week In Infictive. We will be on hiatus until after the winter break, and will resume with a review of your 2014 and a selection of prophecy for the year of 2015. See you at the Christmas party.
