Serve as wagon

Laid out on a strange iridescent grey medical slab we find an aging Dr. Z.

A blond haired spider-type nurse stands close and buzzes softly and emphatically.

Three strange black birds are also at hand.

Shallow cuts are carefully and artfully made in the exposed skin of the doctor. Cuts made where the birds lightly peck at the skin. Barely noticeable shifts under the skin writhe. Delicate cuts made with razor tipped fingertips followed by a flash of bird beak. Long silvery worms are pulled from the outstretched body. Pulled out and quickly eaten by these three medical birds.

When Zed awakes he is refreshed and invigorated. Its mostly the result of special toniks given him by the spider nurse but he is also cleaned from parasitical build up from some of his wanderings in the ways. "I been sick of carting those damn worms around like I was their fucking wagon." Z mutters to himself as he fingers the healing cut now just fine red lines of very very fresh scar tissue.
