You stand outside the mirror as if staring at a screen. You finally blur your eyes enough to see the reflection in the glass of your monitor and realize that this really is a mirror, and that the voice you hear narrating isn't anything less than your very soul and self.

The Other is framed in the mirror before you. A large magnificent mirror framed in thick carved spirals of vines and flowers. A washed out gray. Aged gray paint over antique plaster. The plaster a forgotten formula of some ascended little alchemist. Strongest ceramic material was used to insure the mirror was held in the utmost security. This mirror has existed for the ages...
