The Abbess comes queerly walking in her coat of Deepest Red, spreading sprigs of folly and seed of forlorn upon the fairgrounds of mine discontent. And Laughter! Wells it up o'er all else. This comedy, this tragedy, this face of ridicule. I know not whether to smear it or cherish it. Old friend! Old foe!
