The great ziggurat stands over the landscape. A vast sprawling mega building of stone and metal rusting in ruins. Build around two hundred years from now and yet it stands about two thousand years old. A flat courtyard of carved marble blocks surrounds it. The building is huge enough to house the equivalent of a small city within its walls.

The watcher. Some sick young Man who just stares out the window day and night. Seems only to leave the window to use the restroom or sleep. I seldom don't see that ghastly pale face looking out. Sitting motionless. Like a cold burning pale wax candle of accusation.
