It's a tornado

A severe thunderstorm and tornado watch is the weather forecast, and you can just feel the ozone churning above you. You watch dark clouds roll in over the horizon, taunting you, stretching their dark mass out to blot out the sun and sky! Evil clouds, reaching out with tornado tentacles and pull up homes, spin cows into death!

It's getting bad, real bad. A roaring tornado is making a charge at your farmhouse!

You try to make it to the moldy-smelling, earthen basement below. No luck. The whole house lifts up a little and spins to the right. Ow! Dangit! You fall and slide into a wall. Shattering wood and concrete crackle; your house is in the air and spinning! The house spins like a top, spitting boards and shingles into the wind, while you must hang onto the pantry door for dear life!
