You wear the furs to elicit a reflex hunger pain in the sauroid. It makes them uncomfortable and sick to their stomachs. Some sort of old autonomic response in the reptilians that they have evolved out of. They do not deal with fur cultures for the same reason. Their is an unconscious urge to strike and eat them. Sauroids do not like to eat bony hairless humans. You wear it out of a personal outrage at the terrible hospitality amoung the sauroids. You are always hungry. You would think they would offer you a little food. That they might be prepared to offer some food appropriate to your culture not theirs. You can't eat anything but the croissants made of unmentionable fats and flours.

The gun is culturally sensitive to the sauroids. Its use was fashionable with their enemies in a terrible battle that costs thousands of sauroids their lives. You do this to offend them and throw them further off balance in your dealings with them.
